This document was written back in March 2001, that’s more then six years ago. When we came up with the idea we ever followed it through to completion. I'm publishing it as a reminder to us now that we are building this thing up on what the original idea was in the first place... So enjoy reading it and remember its not necessarily what the site is going to be about now.

Premise / Consept: Online Car Magazine! Online community.

What is the site about?

• Cars (anything and everything)
• Online car show. People can post pics and description of their car for other people to see…

Who will visit the site? What kind of people?

• Guys and Girls from the ages of 16 to 40 years old.
• People who would buy car magazines.
• People who would buy car sales magazines.
• People who would go to car related web sites.
• People who would go to car shows (auto salon, ect…)
• People who are looking to buy, sale, and do up a car.
• Both people who are “into cars” and have only a passing interest.
• Companies that are interested selling and buying products

What do they want?

• To dream, want to see things that they want, things other people have done for inspiration…
• Show off what they have, what they are going to do to it, and what they have done…
• Learn how to do what they want to do to their car. Articles of “how to’s”.  how to modify your car. D.I.Y. Mods…
• Inspiration and new ideas to do with cars (such as modification, body kits, stereos, engine modification, ect…) Lots of individuality… (RiceBoys , Holden men, Ford man, Sport car fans, all included)
• Gallery of peoples cars. You can post your own car for free.
• Cars for Sale! Free for a limited time…
• Parts for Sale! Free for a limited time…
• Reviews of; New cars, old cars, car shows, car accessaries.

 

What will make this web site successful?

• Offering something that people can’t find anywhere else all in the one place.
• Offering a wide rang of topics all inside the main-topic that cannot be found normally just on one web site.
• Free membership! (At first)
• No Adds! (At first)
• Site is updated daily.
• Easy navigation, professional appearance.
• Loads of things to look at and to do. Hrs of fun!
• Interactive. (Car add postings, car show off postings, Message boards, ect.)
• Finding out what people want and giving it to them.

 

What are the goals of the site?

• To make money in the future. This is the background goal, however may never happen or take a long time.
• Have fun, something to do in our spear time.
• To offer something that can’t be found anywhere else on the web all on the one web site.
• To be local at first, and then to expand along time…

 

What is the web site going to have on it?

• Car Gallery – featuring photos, descriptions, and more of cars, mostly from users of the site. Free to post your car to show off to the world!
• Articles and reviews – Articles of how to’s… Reviews of cars both old and new. Reviews of car shows and upcoming new technologies in the car industry.
• Online trading – trading (buying and selling) of cars, car parts, and car accessaries.
• Online message board  - trading of ideas, problem solving, desiccations, comments and suggestions.

• Links in other car web sites to our site.

• Telling People about it in Car related Chat rooms and servers. Word-Of-Mouth is the MOST Powerful way.
• Flyers and Posters.
• We could advertise on our car. Have the web address printed on the windows or something…
• We could invite people we meet to post their car on our site.
• Promoting it at car related events such as races, shows, ST. Albans drags.
• When ever you meet someone who is into cars and has the Internet at home, tell them about it and give them the Address… Word-Of-Mouth is the MOST Powerful way.
